You can put this solution on YOUR website!

1.
equation of the line is
y=mx%2Bb where m is a slope and b y-intercept
and slope point equation is:
y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29
choose two points from the given graph:
(1,1) and (-1,0)
find slope:

m=%28y%5B2%5D-y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D-x%5B1%5D%29

m=%280-1%29%2F%28-1-1%29
m=-1%2F%28-2%29
m=1%2F2
use slope point formula:
y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29.....plug in m=1%2F2 and coordinates of (-1,0)
y-0=%281%2F2%29%28x-%28-1%29%29
y=%281%2F2%29%28x%2B1%29
y=%281%2F2%29x%2B1%2F2 -> your equation

2.
given: gradient m=1%2F2 and (4,-2)

use slope point formula:
y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29
y-%28-2%29=%281%2F2%29%28x-4%29
y%2B2=%281%2F2%29x-4%2F2
y%2B2=%281%2F2%29x-2
y=%281%2F2%29x-2-2
y=%281%2F2%29x-4-> your equation

3.
given:
line passes through the point (-1,2)
and is parallel to the line y=+x%2B4
recall definition: parallel lines have same slope
since the line y=+x%2B4 has a slope m=1, parallel line has a slope m=1
use slope point formula:
y-y%5B1%5D=m%28x-x%5B1%5D%29 and the point (-1,2)
y-2=%281%29%28x-%28-1%29%29
y-2=x%2B1
y=x%2B1%2B2
y=x%2B3->the line parallel to the line y=+x%2B4 and passes through the point (-1,2)
