Question 1115100: given f(x)=2x-3 and f(x)=7 find the value of x

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You are given that a function is defined in two DIFFERENT ways;
but as described, that is contradictory.

2x-3 is a variable expression.
7 is a single constant.

Not good. Either your f has one definition or it has the other definition. Not both in the same problem or exercise.

Are you REALLY looking for an answer to something like this:
f(x)=2x-3 and h(x)=7.
For what x will f(x) and h(x) be equal?
f%28x%29=h%28x%29
2x-3=7
2x=10
x=5
