Question 111474: For the pair of similar triangles, find the length of the indicated side. In the outer triangle, the shortest side has length 6, and the middle side has length 9. In the inner triangle, the shortest side has length 2, the middle side has length 3, and the longest side has length 4. Find the length, x, of the longest side of the outer triangle.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Since they are similar their sides are proportional.
Li/si=Lo/so; L=Longest s=smallest i=inside, o=outside
4/2=x/6
x=6*4/2 multiply each side by 6.
x=12
