Question 1114367: Jack and Tyra took the same test and each received a numerical score based on how many items they answered correctly. Their average percentage correct was 70% and the sum of their scores was 84. What was the maximum possible score available on this test?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Assume that X is the maximum possible score you can get on the test,
%28A%2BB%29%2F2=%2870%2F100%29X
A%2BB=0.7X
and also you know the sum of their scores,
A%2BB=84
So substituting,
84=0.7X
X=84%2F0.7
X=120
