You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1/6) + (1/x) = 1/(3/2) = (2/3) = (4/6)
:
1/x = (3/6) = (1/2)
:
x = 2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Your pump drains 1%2F6 of the tank volume per hour.

When two pumps work together, they drain 1%2F%28%283%2F2%29%29 = 2%2F3 of the tank volume per hour. ( 3/2 = 3/2 hours = 1.5 hours )

Hence, your friend' pump drains  2%2F3 - 1%2F6 = 4%2F6 - 1%2F6 = 3%2F6 = 1%2F2  of the tank volume per hour, working alone.

It means that your friend's pump will empty the tank in 2 hours, working alone.
