Question 1113313: a boeing 747 crosses the atlantic ocean (3000 miles) with an airspeed of 500 miles per hour. the cost C (in dollars) per passenger is given by: C(x)=1000+(x/100)+(3600/x) where x is the ground speed (airspeed+/- wind). Determine the cost if the groundspeed is 200 miles per hour.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Sub 200 for x.
=============
That's not much groundspeed for a 747.

.
But the speed of wind is 500 - 200 = 300 miles per hour.

I do not think that the planes are allowed to fly at such conditions.
