Solve the following problem
A.the median for 10,9,y,12 and 6 is y.find posible values of y, given that the values are whole numbers
Put the numbers in order 6, 9, y, 10, 12,
The median cannot be an integer here
:
B.the mean of 15 number is 30
and the mean of 10 is 25.
what is the mean of 25 numbers
m = %2815%2830%29%2B10%2825%29%29%2F25
m = %28450%2B250%29%2F25
m = 700%2F25
m = 28
:
C.given the set of numbers letter n=(7,9,10,14,8,16,13)
when letter x is added to the set ,the new mean is 12,
calculate the value of x
%287%2B9%2B10%2B14%2B8%2B16%2B13%2Bx%29%2F8 = 12
77 + x = 8(12)
x = 96 - 77
x = 19

For part a, the answer by the other tutor is not right. The ordered set of whole numbers is

6, 9, y, 10,12

Numbers in the set can be repeated; so y could be either 9 or 10.
