It is a linear function.
Its plot is a straight line.
This straight line goes (passes) through the point (0,0), which is the origin of the coordinate system.
The line has the slope of 5. It means that for each shift in 1 unit in horizontal direction (in each of the two horizontal directions)
the point on the line goes 5 units up or down.
If you walk at the speed of 5 miles per hour, then this line describes the distance walked as a function of time.
If you earn 5 dollars per hour (your hourly rate), then the function shows how many dollars (and cents) you will have at any time moment.
