SOLUTION: 135=(n-2)x180/n
Could someone please work this out in detail. It’s not the answer I don’t know. I keep coming up with an extra n from the divisor
135=180nx360/n

Question 1112334: 135=(n-2)x180/n
Could someone please work this out in detail. It’s not the answer I don’t know. I keep coming up with an extra n from the divisor
135=180nx360/n
Multiply both sides by n to get rid of the fraction you get 135n=180n squared x360n. I know this isn’t right so I must be math weary. Found 2 solutions by ikleyn, Alan3354:Answer by ikleyn(52814) (Show Source):
Your equation is
135 = (.
and you need solve it for "n".
For it, multiply both sides by n. You will get
135n = (n-2)*180
135n = 180n - 360
360 = 180n - 135n
360 = 45n
n = = 8.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 135=(n-2)x180/n
----
Use * (Shift 8) for multiply, not x.
135=(n-2)*180/n
135n = (n-2)*180
135n = 180n - 360
-45n = -360
n = 8
==========================
Angle = (n-2)*180/n is the equation for the interior angles of a regular polygon with n sides.
n = 8 --> an octagon with equal angles and equal side lengths
