You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
The literal translation of the condition to the Math equations is THIS:

M = S + 22             (1)
(M+8) + (S+8) = 102    (2)

Substitute (1) into equation (2), replacing M. You will get

((S+22)+8) + (S+8) = 102,

2S + 22 + 8 + 8 = 102

2S = 102 - (22 + 8 + 8)

2S = 64  ====>  S = 64%2F2 = 32.

Answer. The son is 32 years old. The man (the father) is 22 years older : 32 + 22 = 54.
