A,B,C for Alan, Bill, Carl

A:B:C is ratio 2:4:7.

system%28C=B%2B27%2CB%2FC=B%2F%28B%2B27%29=4%2F7%29
This will give system%28B=36%2Cand%2CC=63%29. You can check on the rest of the quantities of the question.

.
Alan got 2 elementary parts (2x);

Bill got 4 elementary parts (4x);

Carl got 7 elementary parts (7x).

7x - 4x = 27

3x = 27  ====>  x = 27%2F3 = 9.

Alan got $9*2 = $18;

Bill got $9*4 = $36;

Carl got $9*7 = $63.
