You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Donna invested her savings in two investment funds. The amount she invested in Fund A was 3 times as much as the amount she invested in Fund B.
Fund A returned a 2% profit and Fund B returned a 5% profit.
How much did she invest in Fund B, if the total profit from the two funds together was $660?
-----
Quantity Eq:: A = 3B
Interest Eq:: 0.02A + 0.05B = 660
------------------------------------
Rearrange and Modify to get:
2A - 6B = 0
2A + 5B = 66000
------------------------
Subtract and solve for "B"
11B = 66000
B = $6000
A = 3B = $18000
-------------------
