I think the problem is that we can't understand the game from what you've
told us here.

How is the counter, say, B, going to move up?  It would hit the Y
just above it.  And what are the blank spaces for?  They would have
to move right to get into a blank space!  See?  We cannot understand
the game from what you've told us about it.  You must explain it
more clearly.  You can explain it in the message form below if you
like.
