g(x) = sin(2x) takes on all its values for 0+%3C=+2x+%3C+2pi, or 0+%3C=+x+%3C+pi, so its period is pi.

Another way to look at it is that f(x) completes one full cycle between 0 and 2pi while g(x) completes 2 full cycles in that interval.
