You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Value of Nickels + value of dimes + value of quarters = 485 cents

5N               + 10*(N+4)       + 25*(N+5)          = 485

5N + 10*(N+4) + 25*(N+5) = 485

5N + 10N + 40 + 25N + 125 = 485

40N = 485 - 40 - 125 = 320  ===>  N= 320%2F40 = 8.

Answer.  8 nickels,  8+4 = 12 dimes  and  8+5 = 13 quarters.

Check.   8*5 + 12*10 + 13*25 = 485 cents.   ! Correct !
