 (1) The 3-digit number AAB, multiplied by 4, results in the 3-digit number CDA.  What is the largest possible value for letter A?
 
 (2) In the ones column, 4 times B produces letter A, so A must be even.
 
 Now you should know the value of letter A.
 
 (3) Again in the ones column, B multiplied by 4 produces letter A; that gives you two possible values for letter B.  Try each one; the requirement that C be less than D finishes the solution.
