You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
From the condition, you havr these 2 equations

J + S = 16,    (1)     ("Her age is twice the sum of her two children ages";  16 = 32%2F2)
J - S = 2 (2) ("Her son Jose is two years older than her daughter Sophia.")

Add equations (1) and (2). You will get

2J = 16+2 = 18  ====>  J = 18%2F2 = 9.

Answer. Jose is 9 years old. Sofia is 9-2 = 7 years old.
