2x - 3y = 6
:
Put it in the slope intercept form which is y = mx + b where:
m = slope and b = the y intercept
:
2x - 3y = 6
Subtract 2x from both sides:
-3y = -2x + 6
:
We have to have y positive, multiply equation by -1
3y = 2x - 6
:
Divide both sides by 3:
y = 2%2F3x - 6%2F3
:
y = 2%2F3x - 2
:
Obviously the slope is 2/3 and the y intercept is - 2
