Question 1105877: Using the point slope linear equation, y + 4 = -4(x-2)....what is the equation in standard form of a perpendicular line that passes through (5,1)?
I have came up with y-1=(1/4)(x-5)
y-1=(1/4)x-5/4
y=(1/4)x-1/4
y=x/4-1/4
Is this the answer?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
The standard form is one step further.

It is     x - 4y = 1.
