then in how many days will 3 typists working 3 hours in a day take to do the same job ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The "typist hours" are the same in both cases, which gives you an equation
7*7*9 = 3*3*days,
Solve it for "days".
Answer.  49 days.
There are many different ways to solve this kind of problem. The other tutor gave you a good solution by one of those methods.
Here is the method of solution that I find works best for me....
(1) 3 typists instead of 7 means the work will take 7/3 as long: 9 days times 7/3 = 21 days.
(2) The typists working only 3 hours a day instead of 7 means the work will take 7/3 times as long: 21 days times 7/3 = 49 days.
Or, without all the words....:
%289%29%2A%287%2F3%29%2A%287%2F3%29+=+49
