You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The height of an object is given by the equation: h = 20-4 cos(2pi*t), where h is height in cm and t is time in seconds.
1. When is the height equal to 16 cm?
h = 20-4cos(2pi*t) = 16
-4cos(2pi*t) = -4
cos(2pi*t) = 1
2pi*t = 0 + n*2pi --- n = integer
t = 0 + n seconds --- n = integer
===============================
2. After how many seconds does the object reach the highest point?
Max ht at -4cos(2pi*t) = +4
--> cos(2pi*t) = -1
2pi*t = pi
t = 1/2 second
