|y

|===============---------------------Person
-------x------------/======1500======
From the person, tangent of 30=y/(x+1500)
tangent 35=y/x
0.5774(x+1500)=y
0.7002x=y
set the two equal to each other
0.5774x+866.1=0.7002x
866.1=0.1228 x
x=7052.93 m
Therefore, y=0.7002*x=4938.6 m ANSWER
check with other
0.5774 should equal 4938.6/8552.93, which it does.
