I will accommodate your sloppiness and assume that "MD" is supposed to be "MO"; otherwise the problem makes no sense.

But then it is NOT possible to prove that the two right triangles are similar. The only thing we know about the two right triangles is that the hypotenuse of one is half the hypotenuse of the other. That most definitely does NOT make the two right triangles similar.
