Question 110485: I know it says one problem per submition but this algebra question involves 2.
Find Each Of The Following Products
A)4x(7x-3)
B)(x+4)(x+6)
C)(x-3)(x+2)
D)(2x+1)(2x-1)

Please Help Me If You Cannot do both can you please do atleast one i would greatly appreciate you doing both they're in the same question THANK YOU!!!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! A)4x(7x-3)
All have to do here is multiply each term inside the brackets by 4x, resulting in:
28x^2 - 12x
:
B)(x+4)(x+6)
FOIL these, using the positions of each term, that means:
First: x * x = x^2
Outer: x * 6 = 6x
Inner: 4 * x = 4x
Last: 4 * 6 = 24
Put it together and you have x^2 + 6x + 4x + 24
Combine the like terms and you have: x^2 + 10x + 24
:
C)(x-3)(x+2)
FOIL this one and combine like terms in the same manner:
x^2 + 2x - 3x - 6
x^2 - x -6
:
D)(2x+1)(2x-1)
FOIL & combine again
4x^2 - 2x + 2x - 1
4x^2 - 1: notice the middle terms cancel, this is called the difference of squares.
:
I suggest that you memorize the FOIL procedure. You will use it frequently and it is quite easy to remember. If you don't, you won't have a happy time in algebra.
