Two pools are being filled with water. To start, the first pool contains
823
liters of water and the second pool contains
1300
liters of water. Water is being added to the first pool at a rate of
35.75
liters per minute. Water is being added to the second pool at a rate of
22.5
liters per minute.
1.AFTER HOW MANY MINUTES WILL THE TWO POOLS HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF WATER?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two pools are being filled with water.
To start, the first pool contains 823 liters of water and
the second pool contains 1300 liters of water.
Water is being added to the first pool at a rate of 35.75 liters per minute. Water is being added to the second pool at a rate of 22.5 liters per minute.
:
1.AFTER HOW MANY MINUTES WILL THE TWO POOLS HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF WATER?
let m = no. of minutes for this to be true
823 + 35.75m = 1300 + 22.5m
35.75m - 22.5m = 1300 - 823
13.25m = 477
m = 477/13.25
m = 36 minutes they will have the same amt of water
:
2.HOW MUCH WATER WILL BE IN EACH POOL WHEN THEY HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT?
1300 + 22.5(36) = 2110 gal
We can check out solution by finding the amt in 1st pool
823 + 35.75(36) = 2110 gal also
