You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If a number is increased by five and then tripled the result is six more than two thirds of the number. Find the number.
-------
Let the number be "x".
Equation:
3(x+5) = (2/3)x + 6
3x + 15 = (2/3)x + 6
(7/3)x = -9
x = (3/7)(-9)
x = -27/7
