You can put this solution on YOUR website! You did not describe your problem well enough. You have data points as ordered pair, plotted on cartesian system, as time in years (on the x-axis, one would guess) and price in dollars per gallon(for the y-axis). Can you draw a best line through the ordered pair points? DO IT!!!
Use your graph to find slope m and y-intercept b, and fill-in the equation form as y=mx+b. You read the y-intercept directly on the graph! You count vertical and horizontal change on your line and find the number for slope.
