find the volume of a cylinder with height of 17.5 and 23 feet diameter
0 solutions
height = 17.5 feet
diameter = 23 feet
radius = d/2 = 23/2 = 11.5 feet
Volume of a cyclinder = base area *height
= pi*r^2*h
= 3.14*11.5*11.5*17.5 cubic feet
= 7267.1375 cubic feet

Question:

find the volume of a cylinder with height of 17.5 and 23 feet diameter

Answer:

Volume of a cylinder is given by the fomula,

V = pi+%2A+r%5E2+%2A+h+, where, pi=+3.14, 'r' is radius and 'h' is the height.
[ Or you can say that, volume of any solid = base area * height]

Here given that,
Height = 17.5 ft.
Diameter = 23 feet

So, radius = +23%2F2 feet

That is , radius = 11.5 ft

So volume, +V+=+%283.14%29+%2A+%2811.5%5E2%29+%2A+%2817.5%29

That is, V = = 7627.1375 cubic feet

OR V = 7627.14 cubic feet( correct to two decimal places..)
