     In other words, they make 1%2F50 of the job per minute.


Jerry's individual rate of work is 1%2F60 of the job per minute.

     In other words, he makes 1%2F60 of the job per minute.


Hence, the assistant makes 1%2F50+-+1%2F60 = 6%2F300+-+5%2F300 = 1%2F300 of the job per minute.


It means that the assistant needs 300 minutes = 5 hours to complete the job working alone.
