Question 1102729:

Two forces of 35 N (newtons) and 50 N act on an object at right angles. Find the magnitude of the resultant and the angle that it makes with the smaller force.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The magnitude would be,
abs%28R%29=sqrt%2835%5E2%2B50%5E2%29
abs%28R%29=sqrt%281225%2B2500%29
and the angle using the smaller force as the reference,
tan%28theta%29=50%2F35
theta=atan%2810%2F7%29
Work those out for the solution.
