Let x be the measure of the common part.


Then A received x dollars;

B received 2x dollars;

and C received 3x dollars.


So the three received x + 2x + 3x = 6x dollars, and this sum is 6000 dollars:

6x = 6000 dollars.


Hence, x = 1000 dollars.


Thus A received $1000,  B received  $2000,   and  C received  3000 dollars.


Check.  1000 + 2000 + 3000 = 6000.  ! Correct !
