Question 1100896: Mr. Mathew and Mr. Mitchell were competing on the game show Jeopardy.
With two categories remaining in Round 2, Mr. Mathew had -$2400, which was
twice as much as Mr. Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell, however, swept the “Green
Machine History” category by answering the $400, $800, $1200, $1600 and
$2000 questions correctly. Mr. Mathew kept things close by answering correctly
the $400, $800, $1200, and $2000 questions in the last category of “Classic Movie Quotes”.
If Mr. Mathew loses $400 in Final Jeopardy, how much does Mr. Mitchell have to win to beat Mr. Mathew?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Mitchell -4800 +400+800+1200+ 1600 + 2000 =1200 before final jeopardy
Mathew -2400+400+800+1200+2000-400=1600 after final jeopardy
Mitchell needs $400 to tie and come back.
Mitchell needs $401 to to beat Mr. Mathew.
