Which system of equations could be solved to find the number of full-time employees?
A. x + y = 94, y = 4x + 4
B. x + 4y = 90, y = 4x - 4
C. x + 4y = 90, x = 4y - 4

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The company has 94 employees in all. Let x equal the number of full-time employees and let y equal the number of part-time employees.
full-time + part-time =all employees
x equal full-time + y equal part-time= 94 employees in all
x+y=94
That eliminates B and C which leaves A or D
full-time employees of a paper manufacturing company is 4 more than 4 times the number of part-time employees.
x equal full-time
y equal part-time
more means add
times means multiply
4 more than 4 times the number of part-time employees (y)
x=4 + 4y which is equivalent to x=4y+4 which is D
D is the answer
