Question 1100698: A horse breeder wants to construct a corral next to his horse barn that is 50 feet long, using all of the barn as one side of the corral. He has 250 feet of fencing available and wants to use all of it.that is the maximum area of the corral?
Repeat this problem.. If the horse breeder has only 140 feet of fencing available for the corral. Does the maximum value of the area function still occur at the vertex?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The fence length parts are 50 + x + x and the area of the fenced region is 50x.

Amount of fence material:
2x%2B50=250
x%2B25=125
x=100

The breeder wants to use all of the fence material and using all of it will give the greatest area. This means 50 yards-worth opposite side from the barn and sitting 100 yards from the barn.
