Find all solutions to the equation. -17w+40=8w(squared)+5w
-17w+40 = 8w^2+5w
8w^2+22w-40=0
Using the AC Method of factoring the left side:
4w^2+11w-20=0
4w^2+16w-5w-20=0
4w(w+4) -5(w+4)=0
(w+4)(4w-5)=0
w = -4 or w = 5/4
