Question 1100200: the energy E possessed by a moving object of mass M and velocity V varies as it mass and the square of it's velocity
a. write down the equation connecting E, M and V
b. what would be the percentage change in E when V is increased by 20% and N is decreased by 15%

You can put this solution on YOUR website! a. Energy of a mass M varies as it's mass, M, times the square of its' velocity, or E=MV²
b. If V is increased by 20%, then E changes by (1+.2)²-1, or +44%. If M is decreased by 15%, then E=((1-.15)M)V², or E decreases by 15%

The energy E possessed by a moving object of mass M and velocity V I S N O T
E = m*V^2,
as the tutor @jorel1380 wrote in his post. And never was.
In Physics, E = .
M E M O R I Z E I T !

By the way, this assignment, this post in its part (a) is ABSOLUTELY ANTI-PEDAGOGIC !
I don't know who invented the text of this post.
But from this text, if you don't know Physics (as the most of american students of the corresponding age),
you will NEVER be able to write the correct expression for the Energy.
Would I be the person who evaluate the pedagogical skills of the author of this post,
I'd immediately awarded him/or her by the score of "1" (which is "D").
