As it is formulated in the post, the problem has more than million of solutions/answers.
In order for the problem makes semse, the condition (actually, YOU) must say that the airplane is exactly over the submarine.
Then to get answer, simply add the two numbers.
It is so EASY . . .
that I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why it was necessary for you to spend your time writing this post . . .
You would obtain the answer much faster/quicker on your own had you use your head . . .
