You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Mrs Baker bought some flour.
She used 1/4 of it to bake 6 cherry pies and packed the rest equally into 9 bags.
There were 250g more flour in 2 similar bags than what ws used for a cherry pie.
If all the flour was packed into 25 bags instead, how much flour would be in each bag.
:
let x = original amt of flour in grams
then
1%2F4x used to make 6 pies
then
1%2F4x * 1%2F6 = 1%2F24x to make 1 pie
:
"the rest equally into 9 bags."
3%2F4x * 1%2F9 = 3%2F36x = 1%2F12x in each bag
:
:
"There were 250g more flour in 2 similar bags than what was used for a cherry pie."
2(1%2F12x) - 1%2F24x = 250
2%2F12x - 1%2F24x = 250
4%2F24x - 1%2F24x = 250
3%2F24x = 250
1%2F8x = 250
x = 250 * 8
x = 2000 grams of flour originally
:
If all the flour was packed into 25 bags instead, how much flour would be in each bag."
2000%2F25 = 80 grams in each bag

A lot of chances to make a math mistake here. Check my math carefully. Ck
