A. Since discount was 10%, then Mrs Down paid 90% of original cost, therefore the original cost of a bag is 54%2F90%2A100=60, the original cost of a dress is 81%2F90%2A100=90
The total original cost of these two items is 60%2B90=150£
B. Actually the total cost were 54%2B81=135£
Mrs Down saved 150-135=15£
