If  "x is the length of one side of this fence" (in meters), then the length of an adjacent side (of ANY adjacent side) is 400%2Fx meters.


Thus the perimeter P(x) is equal to  P(x) = x + 400%2Fx + x + 400%2Fx = 2x + 800%2Fx meters.


Answer.  P(x) = 2x + 800%2Fx meters.
