Question 1097861: I would really be happy if you could give me this as soon as possible. Its due tommorrow
This is a word step inequality. I'll type it down. Renting in-line skates and safety equipment costs 3.50 per hr. Renting ONLY safety equipment costs 1.50 an hour. You can buy used in-line skates from your friend for $40 OR you can rent some. Either way, you must rent safety equipment. How many hour smust you skate for the cost of renting skates be more than not renting skates? (Hint: This inequality involves the variable on both sides. I started and this is where I got. 3.50h 40. From there I was thinking of many solutions. Please help me solve
I would be very happy if you can help me solve this.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

I would really be happy if you could give me this as soon as possible. Its due tommorrow

I don't need hints, but I guess you did type all that the problem entails.
Let the number of hours for the cost of renting skates to be more than not renting skates, be H
Then the cost to rent skates and safety equipment, per hour = 3.5H
Also, the cost to buy skates and rent safety equipment = 1.5H + 40
For the cost to rent skates and equipment to be more than the cost of the skates, plus rental of equipment, we have: 3.5H > 1.5H + 40
3.5H - 1.5H = 40
2H > 40

Therefore, for the cost to rent skates and equipment to be more than the cost of the skates, and rental of equipment,
the skates and equipment must be rented for highlight_green%28matrix%281%2C4%2C+any%2C+amount%2C+of%2C+hours+%3E+20%29%29
