x=(2+or-sqrt(4+12))/(2*-3)
= (2+or-sqrt(16))/(-6)

You are right but at this point, I would separate the two solutions:
x = %282-4%29%2F%28-6%29
x = %28-2%29%2F%28-6%29
x = +1%2F3
and
x = %282+%2B+4%29%2F%28-6%29
