In the mathematical language, they want you find the number between 31 and 69 (inclusively) that 


     - gives the remainder 1 when divided by 8     ("if she put 8 chairs in one row she would be 7 chairs short")

     - gives the remainder 5 when divided by 7    ("If she put 7 chairs in one row she would be 2 chairs short.")



The numbers satisfying the first condition are  33, 41, 49, 57, 65.

Of them, the only number satisfying the second condition is 33.
