You can put this solution on YOUR website! Eric has scores of 71,81,& 85 on his history tests. Use an inequality to find the scores he can make on his final exam to receive a B in the class. The final exam counts as three tests, & a B is received if the final course average is greater than equal to 80 -----------
 F = score on final
 -------
 (71 + 81 + 85 + F + F + F)/6 >= 80
 Solve for F

 :
 let f = the score on final test

  => 80 multiply both sides by 6
 237 + 3f => 6(80)
 3f => 480 - 237
 3f => 243
 f => 243/3
 f => 81 to get at least a B
