Question 1095969: I kinda have an idea, but I'm confused. =_=
Q1: The number of bacteria in a certain culture at time t(in hours) is given by Q(t) = 2(3^t) where Q(t) is measured in thousands. Find the number of bacteria after 30 minutes.
Q2: Money invested in an account that compounds interest continuously at a rate of 3% a year is modeled by A=A0e^0.03t, where A is the amount in the investment after t years and Ao is the initial investment. How long will it take the initial investment to double?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Q1.If Q(t)=2(3^t), then after 1/2 hour you have:
Q(t)=2*3^1/2
Q(t)/2=3*1/2
Q=2√3=3.464
Q2.If A=A0*e^.03t, then:
A/A0=2
2=e^.03t
ln 2=ln e^.03t=.03t ln e=0.03t
ln 2/0.03=t
t=23.105 years
