Find
a) the curved surface area
that's the circumference * height
44 * 8 = 353 sq cm
:
b) the total surface area of the cylinder
Find the radius (r) using the circumference
2%2Api%2Ar+=++44
r = 44%2F%282%2Api%29
r = 7 cm
total area = 2 end areas + curved surface area
A = 2%2Api7%5E2 + 353
A = 308 + 353
A = 661 sq cm
