three solutions for making a graph on the equation 2x + 2y = 12
:
x = -2
then
2(-2) + 2y = 12
-4 + 2y = 12
2y = 12 + 4
y = 16/2
y = 8
:
Do the same with x = 0 and x = +2, we have a table for graphing then
x | y
-------
-2 | 8
0 | 6
+2 | 4

Please give me three solutions for making a graph on the equation 2x+2y=12

Reduce the equation by factoring out GCF, 2, to get: x + y = 6
1) Substitute 0 for y, and solve for x to get the x-intercept. This is one solution.
2) Substitute 0 for x, and solve for y to get the y-intercept. This is another solution.
3) Substitute a SMALL VALUE, say 1, for y, and solve for x to get a 3rd set of coordinates, and a 3rd solution.
You actually DON'T NEED to plot 3 points for a graph, just 2.
