You can put this solution on YOUR website!
each egg seller gets 8000 / 4 = 2000 eggs.

each egg seller has 400 more big eggs than small eggs.

let b = the number of big eggs and let s = the number of small eggs.

you get b + s = 2000

there are 400 more big eggs than small eggs.

you get b = s + 400

in the equation ob b + s = 2000, replace b with s + 400 to get s + 400 + s = 2000

combine like terms and subtract 400 from both side of the equation to get 2s = 1600.

solve for s to get s = 800.

solve for b to get b = 800 + 400 = 1200.

each seller has 800 small eggs and 1200 big eggs for a total of 2000 eggs.

each seller has 1200 - 800 = 400 more big eggs than small eggs.

solution is that each seller has 800 small eggs.
