In fact, statement A has no meaning. I think statement A is supposed to be 
{ ⃠ } instead of {( ⃠ }.
  
The empty set can be represented by either { }, or by  ⃠ . 
But { ⃠ } would represent a (non-empty!) set in which the only element is the empty set.
  
So, assuming statement A is supposed to be that { ⃠ } represents the empty set, statement A is false.
