You can put this solution on YOUR website!
abs%28x-5%29-2%3C=7
abs%28x-5%29%3C=9

Either x-5%3C=9
OR
-x%2B5%3C=9

-x%3C=4
x%3E=-4
OR
x%3C=14

highlight%28-4%3C=x%3C=14%29

.
|x-5| -2 <= 7

is equivalent to

|x-5| <= 9.

The solution is the set of all real numbers that are remoted not farther than 9 units from the point "5" in a number line,

i.e.  -4 <= x <= 14.

Answer.   The solution set is   -4 <= x <= 14.

      The answer (and the solution ?) by @josgarithmetic is W R O N G.
      Simply ignore it.
